Wedding preparations and first photo shoot were done at Lake Bohinj, 30 km away from Lake Bled. The civil wedding ceremony took place on the terrace of the Grand Hotel Toplice on the shore of Lake Bled. After the ceremony, the couple and all their wedding quests traveled to the Island Bled by traditional “pletna” boat. As the old tradition requires, the groom carried the bride up the 99 steps from the shore to the church on the island. In the island church, they rang the wishing bell, which is another tradition as it is supposed to bring them a happy marriage.
